Wolterton Workshops - Patisserie with Rebecca Heath of Hestia Patisserie
This one is for the chocolate lovers! In this delicious workshop you will learn baking techniques including how to make a chocolate cremeux, a fruit cremeux, confit and how to line a tart case in a super easy way!You will also be able to use different piping techniques to decorate your tart and learn how easy it is to elevate your bakes.
Midway through the lesson, you will have a guided tour through Wolterton Hall itself, hearing about its great history and artwork before returning to decorate your tarts.Not only will you leave holding your freshly prepared tart and a new wealth of knowledge but also a little insight into one of the most beautiful stately homes Norfolk has to offer.
Hestia Patisserie is run by classically trained chef Rebecca. After starting her career at Westminster Kingsway College on a three-year Professional Chef Diploma and working in high end hotels and restaurants in London, she moved to Nottingham to work at Michelin-starred restaurant, Sat Bains and then onto Copenhagen, Denmark, to work at various Michelin-starred restaurants. Upon returning to Norfolk, she has concentrated predominantly on patisserie, which has inspired her to establish her own business.
The workshop runs rom 10am to 2pm and will be held in the Hall's kitchen. You will receive tea, coffee and refreshments on arrival and get to take home your creations plus any left overs. If there is time we will also include a tour of the Walled Garden.
