About this event

  • 2 hours

Upon arrival you will be greeted with a Shed One Cocktail before being invited to create your own sugar scrubs and calming sticks with Thea. Afterwards, sit back and enjoy freshly made sconapés, tea and coffee.

This event is being run in aid of Autus Cumbria to support the amazing work they do supporting local autistic people.

They recommend this afternoon particularly to parents/carers of local autistic people to give them a chance to learn more about Autus while having a chance to unwind, share stories, and enjoy award-winning craft spirits.

About your hosts:

Launched in October 2016 by husband and wife team, Andy & Zoe Arnold-Bennett, in the market town of Ulverston, Cumbria. Shed One creates and produces award-winning, classically distilled craft gin and vodka with a contemporary-style. A true micro-distillery, with approximately 110 bottles per batch. Cuckold's Revenge was their first creation!

Autus Cumbria is a not-for-profit organisation that supports local autistic kids and adults by providing social groups, trips, 1:1 support, training, and talks with parents/carers, teachers, and other professionals. They are a small not-for-profit with a big heart – offering a helping hand, friendly face and support for people across the local community.

Thea (Lost In The Apothecary) is a qualified Medical Herbalist who creates botanical products with a focus on promoting relaxation and supporting self-care rituals. Alongside her qualification as a Medical Herbalist, she has additional training in Reiki, Emotional Freedom Technique, and various aspects of mental health.

The afternoon includes:

- Workshops to create your own sugar scrubs and calming sticks

- A welcome Shed One cocktail

- Savoury & sweet bite-sized scones

- Penningtons loose-leaf tea/ground coffee

- Two handmade products to take home: a 100ml nourishing sugar scrub and a calming stick.
