Open Coffee London 20.06.24

Open Coffee gatherings are a friendly informal networking events for business and social entrepreneurs.⁣ You may find a mentor, investor, client, co founder, employer, vendor, inspiration or a friend.

This pilot event is the first in London run the successful "Krakow" format, which has spread to other cities in Poland, Portugal, Australia and soon Japan.

Everyone who attends gets a minute to present.

• Who they are and what they are doing
• What they want
• How they can help others

in the first hour of the meeting. During in the second half you follow up people who are most interesting to you.

This meeting will be hosted by Richard Lucas, Bart Kowalczyk.

Participants in the HSBC Sustainability Business Forum 2024, and members of PBLINK and CAMentrepreneurs will be especially welcome.

We are focused on business and social entrepreneurs, and anyone looking to move their life forward. Wants to get involved in other people's projects. You can talk about any project/topic.

Open Coffee Lisbon is an “un-meeting” with a strong structure and hosting, without a speaker or agendas. We are focused on participants gaining and giving value to other participants. The rules, tools, structure and hosting aim to facilitate this goal.

⁣⁣What is the BIG idea behind Open Coffee?

We want to help people create useful connections.⁣ Everyone is welcome to our meetings, and we especially love first-timers.⁣ ⁣We want to make sure that if somebody coming from an unsupportive background/country has the courage to join, they will notice that we are glad they came because we welcome them. If you feel shy, you can also just listen but we encourage you to talk. ⁣

Richard Lucas

Richard lived in Krakow from 1991-2023 and is proud to be Polish by choice. He founded or early stage invested in businesses which employ around 700 people with 100 mln Euros revenue. He podcasts about entrepreneurship for the New Books Network, does workshops and gives talks at schools/Universities and business schools. He founded CAMentrepreneurs TEDxKazimierz Open Coffee Lisbon and supports other community building and pro-community initiatives.

Bart Kowalczyk

Bart set up PBLINK (Polish Business Link) in 2013 to support the Polish business community in Scotland but I soon realised the massive potential of diverse entrepreneurs across Britain and scaled the business from Scotland to London. Now PBLINK operates across the UK and Central Europe, bringing people together to build business relationships. You will always find a good mix of business owners at PBLINK events. From self-employed polish builders to architects, kitchen fitters and web designers but also well-established entrepreneurs employing hundreds of people.
