Neurodivergent women’s (inclusive) outdoor well-being day

The day will start with a fire, hot drinks and snacks and a range of activities to try including nature based crafts, whittling, wax stamping, weaving, pyrography and pewter smelting. We will share a vegetarian lunch cooked on the fire. For those that are up for it we will end with a short walk up to the ruins of Castell Dinas with some walking meditation. It is short and grassy but steep-around 45 min including descent. Finally if there is any energy left in your social battery we can pop into the pub. You can choose not to join the walk or if you would prefer a less active session with a seated meditation come join us on September 14th. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/neurodivergent-womens-inclusive-outdoor-well-being-day-registration-865175181257

This session is £40 and an additional £10 to cover cost of materials if you want to try pewter smelting.

There is a subsidised rate available but please only book this if this has already been agreed with the organisers.

We always aim to provide a sliding scale and subsidised places- get in touch if this interests you. We hope to be able to offer larger discounts and more spaces in time and we are grant fundraising for this.

Frequently asked questions

What do you mean neurodivergent?

Neurodivergent means someone who has a brain that processes information and experiences the world differently. This might include being autistic, ADHD, dyspraxia, dyslexia, etc.

Do I need to have a diagnosis?

No- self identification is valid and welcome!

What do you mean by ‘inclusive’?

Anyone who identifies as a woman, non-binary or, otherwise who feels they belong in this space is welcome.

Why a woman (inclusive) only space?

Women and people who identify as women or non binary often have a different experience of neurodivergence. Follow us for other neurodivergent well-being days open to all.

What about access?

The site is a short but steep walk up a field and access includes steps. Seating is in a log circle. Toilets are at the house and therefore a walk back down. Check out our Sept session if this doesn’t work for you or get in touch and we will work something out.

What about parking?

There is a pub parking lot next to the house that you are welcome to park in. If it is full there is also a car park across the road.

I like to know more ahead of trying something new..

We will share a video introducing ourselves and sharing the site ahead of the session. We will also include links to videos with some of the activities for those to like to self teach!
