Dublin Youth Dance Company is delighted to be a part of Creative Ireland’s Cruinniú na nÓg 2024. We believe young people from all backgrounds should have the opportunity to experience dance and, if they wish, to make it central to their lives. We provide audiences with performances that allow them to enjoy the distinctive qualities of youth dance.
As part of this wonderful free event, DYDC will perform an original work created alongside the cast by teacher/choreographer Yumi Lee and dance workshops taught by dance artist Mariela Mira at Myrtle Square, Dún Laoghaire on Saturday 15th June from 2-5.30pm
The free open to the public ‘‘Move with Me’ dance workshops will be a great introductory way for children (5-8yrs, 9-12yrs & 10+yrs) to participate in creative dance within a fun and relaxed setting.
In case of rain or inclement weather, all dance workshops will be held in the Dance Theatre of Ireland Centre for Dance Studio located beside IMC Cinema in Myrtle Square.
This project has been funded through Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council’s Creative Ireland Cruinniú na nÓg programme.
