Mindful Weaving workshop


Curious about how colour and crafting can help you feel calm? Spend a slow Saturday morning dabbling in weaving to discover the power of making for mindfulness and creativity.

In this hour and a half session you will:

  • Play with yarn to create a colourful weaving
  • Enjoy a cuppa on the terrace overlooking the gardens
  • Adorn your unique textile art with beads and tassels

All the ingredients for a morning of mindful crafting! You'll be provided with all the supplies and expert guidance along the way. We all learn at different paces, so you'll also leave with some further resources and a few treats.

Your host is fibre artist and tutor Becca from To Be Adorned. This workshop is suitable for ages 12 years and up. Youngsters must be accompanied by a paying adult.

For this workshop we have a dedicated booth on the sunny terrace at Urban Garden in Bournemouth Gardens. Your ticket price includes a piping hot cup of Dorset Tea or Bad Hand Coffee. The venue is dog-friendly and free parking is available for you.

Spaces are limited for the event, but keep your eyes peeled for future workshops and social Stitch Nights!

Where can I park for free?

Free parking is available in a private car park at the rear of the building. You'll need to scan the parking QR code once inside to validate your parking. It's the second car park on the left on Exeter Park Road. You can find full info here: https://urbangarden.co.uk/faqs

How accessible is the venue?

While the workshop and bathrooms are on one level, the building and access is across different levels. Please call the venue before booking if you required disabled access: 01202 286787.
