May stepdance workshop

These workshops will focus on teaching strathspey, reel and jig steps, creating rhythms with the feet to accompany the music. The beginners workshop will start with simple steps, and gradually introduce more complex patterns: everyone is welcome and you don't need any previous dance experience. In the intermediate / advanced session we'll work at a faster pace with more complex seps. It's suitable for those who have previous stepdance or other percussive dance experience.

Between the two sessions we'll do a set dance, so that everyone has a chance to dance together and experience the social side of dancing as well as consolidating the basic steps.

If you've danced before but want a good warm up or would like the chance to go over the basics again, you can sign up for both sessions.
