Managing Our Mental: Emotional Emancipation Circles
Emotional Emancipation Circles (EECs) are safe, culturally rooted spaces created specifically for Black Men to come together, unpack the emotional impact of racism, and reconnect with a deeper sense of identity, self-worth, and purpose.
In collaboration with The Association of Black Psychologists & Rethink Mental Illness, Managing Our Mental CIC is proud to host this 8-week series aimed at helping Black men explore their experiences, build emotional resilience, and strengthen bonds within the community.
Grounded in African-centred values, these circles support participants to:
- Learn tools to support emotional wellness and self-care
- Connect with shared history and cultural identity
- Build meaningful relationships with other Black men in a safe and non-judgemental environment
Sessions include guided discussions, storytelling, reflective exercises, and practical techniques for managing life’s emotional challenges.
Date: Monday 2nd June 2025
Time: 6:45 PM – 9:00 PM
Location: 245 Hammersmith Road, London, W6 8PW
