Creating wellbeing presents a feast for all the senses - working with Nature’s gifts of sound, sight, smell, touch and taste ... your 6th sense of intuition and inner knowing will also be ignited- giving you the gift of being present, making sense of your world and life path through deep creative engagement with nature, self and others. Using colour therapy, meditation , mindful practice photography, listening, aromatherapy and Celtic and folk lore of the spiritual and medicinal qualities of the plants and trees and time of year

Cluna will lead you on an enchanted guided walk through the gardens . We will stop and literally 🪴 smell the herbs ,

🧚‍♀️ dive into the bluebells and fairy folklore

📷 create photographs that capture the essence of the plants , collect (fallen) treasures of sight smell and touch and

engage with the ancestors through brief meditations , folk lore of the beech woods and medicine of the cedar trees and pinetum Using aromatherapy to connect

We will have a soup lunch then there will be time to explore alone and follow the paths wherever they lead you .

To finish the day we will meet for aromatherapy and tea in the beautiful cafe . Share photographs and create a magickal Mist using oils connecting with the trees and plants we have encountered and honour them in a sensory spray you can take home to reconnect to the experience whenever you wish .

Extra details

Taking photographs is not compulsory ! Using your phone as a camera is fine -you can also bring a camera but this is not a technical photography workshop - it is using photography to see the natural world through a creative and more magickal lens. There is no competition but support on using cameras and phones for creative photography is available.

Annual membership to lukesland (£35) will give you free entry until June 9th on sun, weds and bank holidays and Autumn season 9th Oct - 13th Nov

There will be more Make Sense sessions over summer, autumn and winter with at least 2 being at Lukesland

( attending this May Day session means you will have exclusive first invite to next workshops )

CHILDREN

There is plenty for children to do at Lukesland and there are also Forest school sessions with In the Woods to enrol onto but the guided part of this day is aimed at adults creating a peaceful mindful bubble of time for ourselves . So it’s advised to come without children or have a friend or carer to play with the children while we are playing with nature ourselves in the morning part especially 💚💚
