    Welcome to the Maidenhead Bikeathon! Get ready to pedal your way through the quiet, scenic country lanes of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire! A choice of 3 routes, the 25k Family (Short) Route, the 50k Medium Route, and the 100k Long Route.

    Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just enjoy a leisurely ride, this event is perfect for all levels. Free refreshments are availalbe on each route. Register now at www.maidenheadbikeathon.co.uk.

    What is the cost to enter the Maidenhead Bikeathon?

    Adults 18 years plus = £18.00, Teenagers 12- 18 years = £15.00, Children under 12 = Free of charge

    Is the event on road or off road?

    All routes are on road, typically quiet country lanes.

    What type of bicycle is recommended?

    All types of bike are permitted, including electric. For shorter routes, road, hybrid, gravel and mountain bikes are fine. For the longer routes, road and gravel bikes are recommended.

    Is the Family/ Short Route suitable for young children?

    The Family/ Short route is mostly on quiet, flat country lanes. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

    What time can I depart?

    Cyclists can depart from between 8am and 10am.

    When does the event finish?

    The event closes at 3pm.

    What facilities are there at Maidenhead Office Park?

    The office Park has lots of free parking, the registration tent, toilets, a bike mechanic, first aid provision and mobile coffee van serving refreshments.

    What facilities are there on the Routes

    All Routes have at least one Feed Station where you can refill your bottles with water, and free refreshments (cakes and sweets) are available.

    Are the roads closed for the event?

    No, you will be cycling on the Public Highway and are responsible for your own safety. The roads are open to traffic. The Family/ Short Route is marshalled.

    Must I wear I bicycle helmet?

    Yes, wearing a cycling helmet is mandatory.
