Lorna from Maud and Green
From an early age Lorna has had a passion for textile and crafts. Maud was her grandmothers name and inspiration for the business name.
She studied Fashion and Textiles at Nottingham Trent University and had a successful clothing label in the 90’s supplying shops worldwide. She taught fashion, textiles and pattern cutting at a few London colleges before moving to North Devon 11 years ago.
Her love of all things 70’s bohemia have always been of interest and then her passion for the art and craft macrame started about 6 years when making plant hangers for her home and hasn’t stopped at pot hangers, also creating wall hangings, accessories and jewellery.
Over the last few years, she has taught many workshops in North Devon and has provided macrame pieces for installations and workplaces throughout the country, including a huge piece for an exhibit at the Chelsea Flower Show, it won a Gold award.
When Lorna isn’t knotting she can be found pottering about on her smallholding near Woolsery, growing plants for dying as well as eating.
