About our Speakers:

Dr Aoife Curran is a Teaching Fellow and Senior Tutor at the Centre of Excellence for Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Modelling (DAIM) at the University of Hull. She has a PhD in computational cosmology from Durham University and previously worked as a data engineer for an AI start-up. Dr Curan is interested in the ethics of AI, explainable AI, and the use of AI in education.

Jags Sanhera is a Cyber Crime Protection Officer at Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit. He is developing and delivering cybercrime awareness, working in partnership with law enforcement, academia and private industry. Jags also provides current expertise and knowledge to educate and mitigate cyber threats in the public and private arena.
