The farming and land management sector is changing. Planting trees and creating new woodlands can provide direct sources of income and reduce farm input costs; and with new grants and incentives from the Forestry Commission and partners there has never been as much financial and practical support available.
This training day will provide agents with the knowledge and confidence to complete EWCO applications quickly and efficiently and will include:
- Advice for submitting successful EWCO applications.
- Why the range of information is requested on the EWCO application form.
- Signposting to some useful online tools and information.
- Discussion on the additional contributions component.
- An exercise to complete a partially filled out application form.
At the end of the day, you will have a comprehensive example of a completed EWCO application for future reference.
Experts from the Forestry Commission will be on hand throughout the day to provide support and discuss any questions.
If you submit EWCO applications, or are planning to in the future, and would like support with understanding the form and process, then this training day is for you.

- All attendees will need to bring a fully charged laptop and charger.
- Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please ensure you specify any dietary requirements when booking your ticket.
- Spaces are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis.
- If spaces have sold out, we are holding another training day in Exeter.
- There will be a waiting list so please do register if places are full. If there is enough interest, we may consider running another event in the future.

- You will need to download the partially completed form in advance of the event. This will be sent to registered attendees the week before.
- Please take time to read through the form before the event. The information within the completed sections will be pertinent to the successful completion of the exercise.
