Description

The SPECIFI "IoTogether" is a competition event for 7-8 co-located teams in Trento and Barcelona the 20th of September 2014 with 35 participants on each side. Remote teams will be composed by participants from both sides and they will be asked to interact via videoconferencing tool provided by the SPECIFI project (www.specifi.eu).

The aim of the competition is to cooperatively build "networked projects" on wearables and smart environments:

  • Craft your ideas about a better city environment and life
  • Work remotely with a team you have never met before
  • Use 3D printing, laser cutting and other FabLab tools
  • Connect sensors and actuators to the Internet
  • Build a connected and interactive project
  • Have lots of fun with paid lunch & coffees, learn things, meet new people
  • Win Prizes!

The COMPOSE project (http://www.compose-project.eu/) will provide tools for retrieving information from sensors, controlling devices remotely, and storing/retrieving information on the Cloud. Local organizers will provide FabLab tools for prototypes creation. A jury composed by the event organizers (CREATE-NET, MuSe, BCNLab) will define the winners. 1st and 2nd classified teams will receive prizes (what: to be decided)
