Insights from Ireland’s first trials of multimodal electric shared mobility hubs

Join us for an insightful webinar to explore Ireland’s first mobility hubs featuring multiple types of electric shared vehicles. This session will focus on the research and learnings from the TRACT and ROBUST projects.

The SEAI-funded TRACT and ROBUST projects are the first Irish pilot schemes of their kind. TRACT, launched in 2021 for three years, is testing a virtual mobility hub in the mixed-use area of Sandyford. ROBUST, which began in 2023 for a four-year period, aims to assess how shared and electric mobility is embraced by residents in four Irish urban areas: Galway, Waterford, Sligo, and Dublin.

As shared mobility becomes a more integrated part of the transportation landscape across Europe, the insights from these two projects, supported by international perspectives, will help shape the development of shared mobility hubs in Irish cities, towns, and low-density areas. This online seminar will present the initial findings and learnings from the setup of these hubs and outline the anticipated future research.

The event will feature Joe Seymour, Head of Active Travel Investment at the National Transport Authority, along with presentations from the TRACT and ROBUST teams. A Q&A session will provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and lessons learned.
