Insider tips for getting an agent and getting published - with Simon Trewin

Simon Trewin spent 5 years in the theatre world before spending the last 30 years working as a literary agent at various agencies, including Sheil Land Associates, Peters Fraser and Dunlop & United Agents and, more recently, as a Partner at WME (William Morris Endeavor), the American sports and entertainment group.

Simon has helped launch a large number of careers and many of those authors have gone on to be shortlisted or win many of the world’s most prestigious literary awards.

He launched his own boutique agency Simon Trewin Creative in 2019 and he focusses on representing a very small number of clients and some selective consultancy work across the creative industries.

Simon will use this session to help authors understand the processes agents go through to select clients, and what the industry is looking for, so that they can make better submissions in the future.
