About this event

More than 90% of businesses in Tower Hamlets are micro, small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Smaller businesses and organisations tend to experience unique challenges to supporting mental health and wellbeing for their employees as they may lack capacity and time, particularly when lacking dedicated human resource personnel.

Tower Hamlets public health team are running a series of free interactive workshops (four in total) this year on mental health and wellbeing with the opportunity for small businesses to receive a certificate for their commitment to workplace wellbeing in the borough.

NHS Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies and Public Health will be delivering the first workshop. This workshop is aimed for small businesses (<50 employers) from any sector in Tower Hamlets, wherever you are on your journey of workplace wellbeing. It is aimed at employers, team leaders and line managers of small businesses.

Learning outcomes for this session:

  • An understanding of what mental health is
  • Awareness of common mental health issues
  • What individuals (employees) can do to look after their wellbeing

  • Awareness of training opportunities and local support services
