Description

The Human Rights Implementation Centre (HRIC) welcomes Dr Suzanne Egan, Director of the Centre for Human Rights at the University College Dublin to the Law School, to talk to students about 'Human Rights Education in Schools: Challenges and Expectations'.

Dr Egan is Assistant Professor in international human rights law, European human rights law and human rights education at the School of Law, University College Dublin. Suzanne has published widely in the field of international human rights law, with a particular focus on human rights institutions and procedures, asylum law and policy and human trafficking. Her book, The UN Human Rights Treaty System: Law and Procedure (Bloomsbury) was shortlisted for the Irish Association of Law Teachers, Kevin Boyle prize for outstanding legal scholarship in 2012 and in 2017, Suzanne was awarded an LL.D. by the National University of Ireland for her published work in the field of international human rights law.
