We are two local queer artists Anka Dabrowska and Hannah Dickins. We have been selected by Hackney council to create Hackney's Banner for London Pride 2024. We want Hackney’s LGBTQIA+ community to join us in creating meaningful work about what it means to be queer in Hackney right now.
We will be hosting a series of FREE workshops for all abilities with all materials provided. The work created in these sessions will make up the final pride banner. This is an opportunity to build new creative skills to amplify queer voices.
There will also be some opportunities to walk the London Pride parade with Hackney. The workshops will take place in May in various locations in Hackney.
