In this guided breathwork session, you will learn a simple to follow 'conscious connected' breathwork technique, along with a series of breath retentions designed to help you access altered states of consciousness. Breathwork is incredible for all aspects of the health of mind and body by way of relieving stress & tension. It also helps to build resilience in our nervous systems and restore and maintain connection to our body and its intuition.
Because this practice helps us to reconnect to our body, this can lead to experiencing and releasing feelings, emotions and memories associated with stress and trauma, but it can also give us increased gratitude, peace, clarity and perspective on what is happening in our lives. No two breathwork sessions are the same because you are never the same person from session to session! Add in to this the power of going through such a process collectively in a group of like-hearted people, and you've got all the ingredients for a transformation process.
The session will be guided and carefully supported by me, Sam. I will be there supporting you through every step of the process and ensuring you have a safe, supported and integrated experience. I am a Breathing Cold certified Breathwork, Ice Bath & Authentic Relating Facilitator. Additionally, I have 10 years experience in the health and fitness industry, so supporting people through the process of change is something I am well aquainted with.
The session will last around 75-90 minutes and includes an introduction, movement warm-up, guided breathwork journey to music and some space for sharing, integrating and connecting afterwards.
Parking/entry to venue:
There is a free car park at the back of the building and entrances from both the rear and front of the building (the front being the Main Street).

Safety Information:
Whilst breathwork is an exceedingly safe activity to complete, I must state that you should never perform any kind of breathwork whilst driving a moving vehicle or whilst in water, as it is possible to lose consciousness due to changes in body chemistry (this is safe and your body will automatically kick in and make you breath whilst unconsious). The only occasions of accidents occuring from breathwork have taken place in these two high risk contexts.
Contraindications to participating in a breathwork workshop include:
1) Epilepsy
2) Pregnancy
3) Detached Retina
4) Glaucoma
5) High Blood Pressure that is not controlled with medication
6) Cardiovascular Disease including but not limited to prior heart attack
7) Use of Prescription Blood Thinners such as Coumadin

9) History of Aneurysms in immediate family
10) Strokes, TIAs, seizures or other brain/neurological condition or disease

Please inform me of any of the above applicable to you so that I can assist you the best way possible.
