GRA-VIA

VIA and Oakley bring you this epic Gravel race. GRA-VIA, over120K with 1400 Meters of elevation.

Running in conjunction with the LondonCycleFestival Londons premire racing weekend held at the historic Londons Kings Cross.

Leaving Kings Cross at 08.30 on Sunday 22nd June the route takes you from the heart of Kings Cross out and up to the hidden trails of Hertfordshire.

The race consists eight timed sectors out on the 120KM route. The sectors vary in length from 1 KM to 4KM. The rider that is the quickest over all eight sectors will be announced the winner, there will be prizes first three Women and Men.

All entered riders will need to have a STRAVA account and then join the GRA-VIA STRAVA club. Once each rider is added to the GRA-VIA STRAVA Club the winning sector times from the race will be calculated post event.

This is not a 'race from the gun' riders will only be timed (via STRAVA) through the designated eight sectors. The route and sector details will be sent to all riders two days befoe the event day.

The route will be way marked only at key points, riders will need a head unit to follow accurately.

Our friends at Oakley will be providing complimentary halfway refreshments set up at the pop up Oakley Village. There are plenty of additional independent fueling stops along the way. Some navigation to these will be required.

Each rider will receive a complimenmtary Pizza and drink from GRA-VIA at the finish back in Kings Cross.

There is no technical support on the route riders will be expected to self sufficient.

The ride should take riders between 5 - 9hrs dependent on ability. Riders will need to upload their ride after the finish. Winners will be announced once the final rider has finished and uploaded.

Will there be food provided

There will be refreshments at the halfway point and all riders will receive free pizza at the finish.

What is the best bike to ride the event ?

All bikes are welcome. We would recommend using a bike with a tyre width over 33mm. Ideally a CX, Gravel or mountain bike.

Are there any places to but food/drink along the way

There are plenty of villages and towns along the way. They are mostly off route so will need a phone to locate.

Will there be ant mechanical support along the route

The race is self supported riders will need to have spares with them.
