GLUGGLE JUG MAKING WORKSHOP
On this fabulous workshop you will use a variety of hand-building techniques to make a characterful Gluggle Jug! Taught by potter Dave Short, finalist on The Great Pottery Throw Down 2024.
Gluggle jugs are fish shaped novelty jugs first produced in Staffordshire in the early 1800s. Due to their unique shape, they produce a glugging sound when in use, and always bring a smile to your face. There has been a recent resurgence of interest when they were used as a brilliant hand-building challenge on Channel 4’s Great Pottery Throw Down. Finalist potter Dave Short, will be sharing his experience & expertise to deliver this unique class at Honeybourne Pottery.
