GamCare’s Criminal Justice and Gambling Harm Programme are offering all criminal justice organisations and related services free CPD accredited training.
The training consists of three main elements:
Raising awareness of gambling and gambling harms in the UK. What is gambling harm? What does it look like and how does it occur?
Increasing participants ability to identify gambling harm within the Criminal Justice System. What are the impacts of gambling harm? How does it affect individuals that gamble? How does it affect others around the gambler, such as friends/family/work colleagues or employers? What is the link between gambling related harm and crime?
Increasing participants’ knowledge of GamCare’s treatment and direct referral routes. What support is available for those that gamble and those affected by other people’s gambling? How can you offer help and support? What is the process for referrals? How can we start the conversation?
