Welcome to the Farm Road Community Garden Open Day!
Come join us at the Farm Road Pavilion & Playing Fields for a fun-filled event celebrating all things green and growing. Discover the beauty of our community garden and learn about what we are growing.
FROG Learning CIC, in partnership with Tooting and Mitcham Football Club and the National Trust, oversees the management of the green space by working alongside young adults with learning disabilities. There is a community garden for food growing, a small woodland with a campfire zone and a natural art installation, a small orchard, a big pond and loads of other space for wildlife.
Come along and meet some of the fantastic young people looking after special green space, have a tour of the site, enjoy a cup of tea and delicious treat or take part in our plant swap/sale.
This event is a part of the GROW URBAN FESTIVAL most of which is taking place
during The Great Big Green Week, 8-16 June 2024. There are more than 30 events in
the Festival programme, all aiming to promote greening and growing in and around
London. There are a huge range of activities including foraging walks, mushroom
growing and bee hotel building workshops, digging up school playgrounds, dinners,
talks and much more.
