Sunderland Young Peoples Bike Project in partnership with Active Sunderland are delivering!
Family bike ride (Beginner) is designed to get you back onto your bikes to experience easily achievable, on your doorstep bike rides in your local area. Getting on your bike with the family is a simple, cost free, fun activity all the family can enjoy.
This ride will start and finish in Thompsons Park and will consist of a leisurely 2-3 mile (approx.) that will use the local park, the C2C river and coastal routes before heading back.
All riders must be able to ride with a degree of confidence and ability to take part, most of this route will consist of pedalling on cycle paths, however, there will be small sections involving cycling on and crossing roads.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes where possible, however, we can provide bikes and helmets for the session if required.
All participants must be able to ride confidently for 2-3 miles without stabilisers, there is a suggested age of 7yrs + for this ride.
Meeting pooint for this event is in the carpark of Leisure United Downhill.
