This FACE-TO-FACE session focuses on all the practicalities of having a new baby; we encourage both mother and significant other to attend (if possible). You are welcome to attend at any stage of your pregnancy to help you prepare for your baby’s arrival. At the start of the session please let us know if there is a particular topic you would like information or guidance on. These are the usual topics of discussion:
Meeting your baby and caring for them in hospital
Normal newborn behaviour (if you are concerned- who to contact)
Nappies
Sleep (Baby’s, yours and safety)
Car seats
Bathing and skin care
Visitors- Friends and Family support
Due to limited spaces, we ask that only those who are booked to have their baby at West Middlesex University Hospital or Chelsea & Westminster Hospital attend these sessions. If you are unable to make your session, please reschedule as soon as you can. If you are bringing a partner, mother or friend that is going to be supporting you after the birth, please ensure you have booked a place for them too. You will need to bring your notes in order to attend the session.
