About this event

  • 3 hours

Within this 3-hour in-person ceremonial workshop, you will be guided through somatic practices, inner enquiry work and earth based ritual to introduce you to the radically rooted and revolutionary practice of embodied activism. Sat in circle around the earth altar, this container will not only be an opportunity for you to come into a grounded space of safety and connection, but will also allow you to truly feel the wisdom held within your own body and experience the inner and outer change that is possible from this space. We will be working towards releasing our collusions with colonial powers, providing ourselves compassion and nourishment in the process, and laying fertile soil for moving out of consumption and into creation for yourself, our communities and the earth. The revolution from colonialism, is one rooted into our bodies and the earth.

We will be exploring the key themes of Embodied Activism, which includes:

  • Gaining an innerstanding of vicarious trauma and the importance of not "getting in the hole"
  • Developing awareness of how this leads to a cycle of guilt, shame and resentment
  • Learning how this cycle causes us to come into a space virtue signalling rather than actual change-making
  • The importance of nervous system awareness to move away from this space
  • Respecting the nuance of our lived experiences whilst embracing our differences, to call in true circle, community and connection
  • Honouring importance of earth-based practices, ritual and ceremony for collective liberation
  • Shifting our energy to gifting rather than taking, and moving our overall focus to creating rather than consuming

Within this workshop expect to be held through:

  • Ritual and Ceremony
  • Movement and self-massage
  • Breath and energy work
  • Meditation
  • Inner enquiry and journal prompts
  • Creative practices
  • Sharing circle

Who is this practice for?

  • Seasoned change-makers and activists that want to bring their work into a rooted, grounded space
  • Body-workers, energy healers and intuitives that wish to direct their energy and work for healing the collective
  • Any human that is witnessing the pain, violence and corruption over the world that wishes to ensure they are focusing their prayers towards global community liberation.

See you in circle, loves x
