Every DMC event features three fantastic acoustic live acts. Tonight, our main act will be Nine Below Zero - Duo along with Laura Evans and M G Boulter.

Nine Below Zero - Duo

Formed in the late 70’s, Nine Below Zero first made their mark in 1980, when they signed to A&M Records, released their debut album Live at The Marquee and headlined The Hammersmith Odeon supported by Jools Holland.

Original members Dennis Greaves and Mark Feltham have been performing as a Duo since 2015 and are releasing their latest DenMark in time for this tour.

Mark is the number one session Harmonica player in the UK. In addition to joining The Rory Gallagher band and touring the world in the mid eighties he has recently worked with Jude Law, teaching him the technique of playing the Harmonica and has played with a huge list of artists from George Michael to Oasis.

Dennis has been a member of Nine Below Zero from the beginning, producing over 20 albums and playing guitar on Stage with Eric Clapton, Billy Gibbons, The Who, The Kinks, Allman Brothers, Brian May and many more of his guitar heroes.

Laura Evans

It has been a standout year for Laura Evans who is an artist standing out amongst the crowd with her effortless blend of Blues, Rock & Soul, her latest album releases have now reached over 1.5 million streams on Spotify, she has graced the cover of the ‘Nu Blue’ playlist and receives continued support from Cerys Mathews at BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio Wales.

Laura had a busy touring schedule in 2023 fresh from sell out shows on her UK tour followed by 11 dates on her European tour across the Netherlands, Germany & France. Her live performances have been described as a girl who is the ‘real deal’ and Classic Rock Magazine compares her to Stevie Nicks jamming with Blackberry Smoke, embracing notes of Americana, pop and bluesy rock and roll.

M G Boulter

Following his successful tour in Autumn 2022, which brought his Clifftown album to life through specially shot film projections and an enhanced touring band, M G Boulter is preparing live shows for Spring 2024.
It’s been a busy couple of years for M G having toured extensively with his Clifftown show but also undertaking his live duties as a member of Jon Boden’s Remnant Kings. He also recorded and released his new EP ‘A Shadow Falls Over New Brighton’ on Hudson Records, as well as the joint single, ‘Flint Knapped' with Shetland songwriter Jenny Sturgeon.

2024 promises to be equally productive with a new album being recorded in March (with BBC Folk Award winning producer Andy Bell and an ensemble of some the UK’s best known folk musicians) and more singles planned with Jenny.

Garnering praise from reviewers like Uncut describing his work as “gorgeous in a word” and R2 listing him as “a weapons grade songwriter”, expect a more intimate show for 2024 combining new album material and storytelling, highlighting M G’s songs as an important contemporary voice in the long tradition of the singer-songwriter.

Two, three or four guests can sit at a DMC club table - when you book your tickets, it will be assumed that all those within that booking will wish to sit together at a table. If your group is greater than four, please feel free to email admin@dunmowmusicclub.com to request adjacent tables - we will endeavour to fulfil requests where possible. Table numbers will be emailed to you ahead of the event along with instructions on how to pre-order food. Single tickets are also purchasable.
