Come join us for a practical workshop exploring charcoal drawing through experimental approaches, working from the unique surroundings of the Spode site.

Some drawing confidence or experience recommended.

Will materials be supplied?

Yes, basic materials will be supplied. You are welcome to bring your own to add more variety to your options.

Do I need to bring anything?

Bring a phone with a camera to take reference photos. You're also welcome to bring any preferred drawing materials—like a specific brand of charcoal, coal, or even colours—if you'd like to use your own.

How do I get to the parking area?

When you arrive at Spode, drive through the barrier and follow the detour around the buildings until you see signs for ACAVA. Alternatively, you can park at Potbank (paid parking) and walk down from there.

Who is running the session?

Local artist Charne Visser will be running the session.
