This qualification covers skills and knowledge to help you manage situations where a dog requires emergency action.

  • Know your dog, weekly health checks,
  • Managing an incident,
  • Checking and understanding vital signs,
  • Dealing with unconsciousness,
  • CPR,
  • Drowning,
  • Choking,
  • Bleeding, injuries,
  • Shock
  • Restraints, carrying and moving techniques and
  • Dealing with an aggressive/confused dog.

This course is delivered through hands on practical experience not death by power point.

This short qualification is regulated by OFQUAL / SQA Accreditation
