About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

Join us for our first Migration Network event dedicated to exploring collections. Digital Journeys: Preserving and Sharing Migration Stories will showcase examples of innovative digital collections work within museums and archives. Together, we’ll explore how these projects are being developed for specific audiences, the impact they are having, and the opportunities they present for the sector. Whether you work with collections, digital storytelling, or migration history, this Migration Network event will offer a valuable opportunity to exchange insights and ideas.

Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Migration Museum is undertaking a collections research project, seeking to better understand migration-related collections across the UK held by other museums, archives and community heritage organisations. We are aiming to build a digital portal prototype that shares key objects from our partner museums connected to migration-related themes.

The event will include presentations from Migration Stories North West and the Wiener Holocaust Library, among others.

We hope you’ll join us!
