Devil's Nutting Day Celebration

Set in120 acres of Voltaire's Wood, native English woodland, Oak & Ash & Thorn runs events from forages, to fire circles to weddings, and hosts camping weekends. We're a world away from the world.

We have two areas for gatherings in the woods: Butterfly Glide is a magical space for day events such as weddings or day time parties. Sacred Stone is for evening parties (no raves, but we can provide a silent disco!). We plan events throughout the year leaning heavily into the folklore and nature around us.

If you'd like to camp, you can stay in the woods with your own private camping area: low-key, almost wild camping: you, your friends and family, the deer, the owls, deep in the woods. We provide the basics, you pitch your tents and then are free to explore or just do nothing and listen to the birdsong.

We have three zones in the woods. The Forts area is near a stream and is geared towards family camping. This includes Chimney View, Lightning Beech and The Forts camp. For adult groups who might want to stay up later, we have Sigge’s Camp, or for larger groups, Sacred Stone. Our third space, Butterfly Glide is a magical space for day events such as weddings or day time parties (no raves, but we can provide a silent disco!).

We are open over weekends from March - December. Arrivals from midday. Departure times are relaxed.
