About this event

This event is a guided boat trip to familiarise those inexperienced or wary of crossing Breydon Water. Travel onboard Spirit of Breydon patrol launch with the Rangers who will discuss safe routes, channel markers, emergency mooring points and potential hazards. The trip will go as far as Berney Mill on the Lower Yare and Burgh Castle Ruins on the Lower Waveney.

The duration of trip is approximately 2 hours.

Additional information

Meet at the far end of Porters Loke road (near entrance to Fisherman’s Inn pub and Goodchild Marine).

There is parking on Porters Loke (please note that there are two roads named Porter's Loke, follow the signs and park on the road leading to the Fisherman's Inn/Burgh Castle Marina and Holiday Park, opposite entrance to Folkes Plant & Aggregates).

Please check the weather forecast in advance and bring suitable outdoor clothing to keep warm and dry as it can be exposed on Breydon.

Refreshments are not included but you may wish to bring your own drinks and lunch. Please note that there are no toilet facilities available during the trip.

Event is suitable for those over the age of 16.
