Lt Colonel ANDREW MIDDLEMISS. BEM DL

Andy is a 4th generation soldier. He was an officer in the Kings Own Scottish Borderers for 33 years, serving all over the world, including three tours in the Far East, where he worked with the local military forces. Andy was an instructor at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst

Andy has worked for over 20 years as a volunteer for the Perth and Kinross Branch of SSAFA, a charity helping serving and ex-serving members of the armed forces and their families. He was awarded a BEM for this work two years ago.

He has led several tours to the WW1 battlefields and is just back from a tour of Normandy 80 years on from D Day - on which tour the Padre was Rev. Stephen Blakey, one of Veterans Chaplaincy Scotland team of chaplains

Andy’s wife Jo has run a charity clinic in Southern Ethiopia for the last 15 years. One of their sons is an officer in the Scots Guards He has several operational tours to his name and was on parade for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and then for the coronation of King Charles III.
