About this event

Sunday 5th May is the 10th Anniversary of the first Curdworth Soap Box Race! Have you got what it takes to tackle the hill?!

You only need to purchase to enter a cart into the race.

One entry allows up to 2 drivers to enter a cart in either the adult or child (up to 16) category. Please make sure you read the complete rules and regulations and that your cart conforms to them.

When and Where is it?

Sunday 5th May 2024 in Curdworth. The racing will start at 11am, but all competitors will need to be at Curdworth Primary school in the pit area now later than 10am for scrutineering.

How many runs do we get

We try and get as many runs as possible down the hill and in part years we have managed 4 runs in total. If 2 people are racing, then they will take it in turns and get 2 runs each

What are the rules for the drivers?

All Drivers must sign the indemnity waiver form before racing. Be suitably equipped with protective clothing including a crash helmet, gloves, appropriate footwear and jacket. .Be seated or reclined. No face down or head first positions are allowed.

What are the rules for the karts:

All kart must 1. Be powered by gravity only i.e. no pedalling or pushing 2. Have a steering system and brakes. 3. Have 4 wheels, all of which must be designed to stay in contact with the ground the entire time.4.Total cart length of no more than 2300mm and width of 1100mm. No glass.
