Join us for a fun and informative session at St John the Divine West Worthing church hall. This workshop will focus on exercises to help you build strength and improve flexibility in your hips and shoulders. Whether you're a beginner or experienced in Pilates, this workshop is suitable for all levels.

Explore the rich variety of movements at these complex joints; learn how core stability and a neutral spine contributes to freedom in your upper and lower body.

We will explore how muscle spasm and tight nerves can restrict you and cause compensations that affect the rest of your body, how to strengthen and stabilise these vital areas, and how to improve control and mobility to lengthen the life of your hip and shoulder joints.

Under the close supervision of experienced instructors Miki and Caroline, you will work on the details of fine movements and preparation for stronger exercises that will take your Pilates practice to the next level.

The workshop will comprise of 2 hours practical learning with hands-on adjustments and opportunities for 1:1 corrections. You will then have the opportunity to ask questions and reflect on the session, while enjoying some healthy snacks and refreshments.

Frequently asked questions

Is there parking at the venue?

There is no parking onsite, however free parking is available outside and on the surrounding residential roads.

Do I need to have done Pilates before?

To get the most out of the session, you will already be attending or intend to start Pilates lessons. It will enhance your current practice by giving you a deeper understanding of your body and movement. However, if you are complete beginner, you will get a great introduction to the fundamentals!

Do I need to bring anything?

You will need to bring your own Pilates or exercise mat and a bottle of water, but all other small equipment and refreshments will be provided.

What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable that you can move easily in and the lines of your body can be seen by the instructor. Leggings or shorts with a close fitting t-shirt or vest would be ideal. Please wear socks.
