About this event

Come and try something different this summer. Softball is a fun, social sport that caters for all. These weekly Softball Session introduces the sport through a series of fun activities and games. So, if you are curious as to what Softball is, come along and give it a go. What have you got to lose?

No equipment is necessary, just come in outdoor sports attire.

In case you are totally new to softball, we have a basic guide to the rules and terminology that might help you.

Under 18s must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian on their first attendance to complete a mandatory permission form. If a Parent or Guardian cannot attend, please request a form before attending.

Do I need anything for the sessions?

No, all equipment is provided by the club.

What is Softball?

Softball is a bat and ball sport. There are a few version of Softball. These sessions focus on the co-ed version played with 5 male and 5 female players. We have a short guide to the rules available online https://maidenheadsoftballclub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Beginners_Guide_Softball.pdf

How often do these events run?

We run these sessions every Friday throughout the year. From April-September they are outside. From October - March we play indoors. There are only a few Fridays in the year we don't run, Easter and Christmas being the biggest breaks.

Is there a cost?

No, these sessions are free. If you decide to join the club full-time we offer a £45 first year membership, which them enables you to come along and play in the league and tournaments.
