About this event

  • 3 hours

WELCOME! We are returing to Glasgow & our new new location has some outdoor dance space so we can dance with our feet in the grass!

Let the cacao open your heart and the music move your body as we create a space for joy and connection. Release stress, elevate your spirit, and dance your worries away with us!

What To Expect:

We will begin in circle sitting on the floor with a cacao ceremony led by our resident cacaosita Jenna De Vida. We drop into connection with ourselves and our community.

We will move in to free-flow dance, our musical voyage carefully curated by Patrick Rafferty

and culminate with a serene sound healing journey, featuring sacred sound bowls by Lara - Alkemy of Sound, we will be relaxing on the floor for this.

Our host Laura Yoniverse will be available for any support.

We wholeheartedly welcome you.

What is Cacao?

Ceremonial Cacao is a natural drink that has heart opening properties & is an aphrodisiac.

It elevates your mood and give you confidence to move and dance freely in your body.

What is Ecstatic Dance?

Ecstatic dance is a form of freeform movement where we can express ourselves through dance without choreography. The musical journey allows us to move our body intuitively, tapping into emotions, and experiencing a sense of liberation and joy. The dance-floor is a judgement free, phone-free and conversation free space.

What is Sound Healing?

Tapping into vibrational frequencies from sacred instruments to promote relaxation and restore balance in the body, mind, and spirit. A lovely way to integrate after our dance.

What our community are saying:

''I love coming to these events - i'm always buzzing with life after!''

''For me ecstatic dance is a liberating journey of self-expression and connection, where movement becomes medicine for the soul. Thank you for this safe, well held space''

''Thank you for creating such a lovely community and a space where i can explore myself and my emotions. I have been looking for community like this. So grateful''

What to bring:

Water bottle, and something comfy for the sound healing - a yoga mat and blanket (eye pillow if you want to go all out) is lovely. A cushion to sit on for cacao ceremony can be nice too. We will have a few.

See you on the dance floor tribe!

Venue:

Roystonhill Community Hub - less than a mile from Buchanan Bus Station.

There is free (but limited) parking on the residential streets surrounding. If you would like to car share or find a travel buddy join our FB group and ask for what you're looking for.
