About
Broadly Conceived is an interdisciplinary network dedicated to the study of reproduction. Thanks to the support of the CHASE Cohort Development Fund, we will be holding a 2-day conference. This event is aimed at postgraduates (including PhD candidates and master's students) and early career researchers, and brings together scholars working in various disciplines (Literature, History, Law, Medicine, Sociology, Linguistics, Anthropology, Midwifery, Fine-Arts etc.)
This 2-day conference explores the topic of “Critical Reproduction Studies” as a potentially productive and exciting new interdisciplinary field of study that places engagement with critical theory and collaboration at its centre. Panels will consist of researchers with different disciplinary backgrounds and institutional affiliations, united by a broad topic or theme. The focus of our event is to facilitate creative, dynamic discussions that fall at the intersections of our disciplines.
Tickets
This is a 2-day conference: Friday 5 July will be online-only; Saturday 6 July will be in-person only at Birkbeck, University of London. In-person lectures will not be streamed online.
