Empowerment Through Research: Bridging Academia and Society

The BNU Research and Enterprise Conference 2024 promises to be an engaging and thought-provoking event aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation between academia and society. This conference serves as a platform for researchers, scholars, industry professionals, policymakers, and community members to come together to discuss the pressing issues facing academia and society - issues such as community empowerment, access to research, interdisciplinary collaborations, ethical considerations and impactful research. The Conference will showcase the diverse and impactful research being undertaken by BNU academics, bringing together research presentations, workshops and motivational speakers, in an event that we hope all will attend.

This conference gives our dedicated research community the opportunity to present their research to an audience comprised of both their BNU peers and to interested external visitors. With presentations being delivered on BNU’s key research areas of Technology, Art, Design and Performance, Life Sciences and Social Sciences the Conference will show the level of commitment by the University to supporting and encouraging research of all types with an unparalleled commitment to inclusivity and access to knowledge.

Alongside these presentations conference attendees will also be able to attend a number of workshops on a variety of topics related to BNU’s programme of knowledge exchange and community engagement. The event will also include presentations from Postgraduate Research Students at BNU – students who represent the future of research that BNU actively fosters – and outside of the presentations on the day attendees will be able to view a gallery of research posters from the wider researcher community at BNU as well as being able to network with peers and potential research collaborators.

All are welcome to attend the event - and for any queries you may have please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the BNU Research Unit.
