Bedford Breakfast Club

The Bedford Breakfast Club is a networking event sponsored by Metro Bank, Mazars and Woodfines Solicitors which has been running successfully for a number of years in the pleasant surroundings of Bedfordshire Golf Club, providing easy access for both Bedford and Milton Keynes.

Attendees include individuals from a wide range of businesses based in and around Bedford and Milton Keynes, with an average attendance of around 30 people.

Full English and continental breakfasts are available and varied speakers cover a wide range of interesting topics, relevant to business and the local community.

This month we will be hearing from Claire Banwell Spencer, Head of Entrepreneurship Growth Portfolio, at the Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurship at Cranfield School of Management

Claire joined the Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurship at Cranfield University in July 2021 as the Head of Entrepreneurship Growth, working closely with businesses seeking to scale and grow. She is a dual-qualified Barrister and Solicitor with an MBA from Cranfield University. Before undertaking her MBA, Claire worked as a Corporate Lawyer, both in-house and in private practice. Since completing her MBA, she has followed her passion for entrepreneurship and innovation, having been raised within an entrepreneurial family, including starting and raising funds for her own business.

Claire has worked across a wide range of sectors, from law firms, corporates, and academia to start-ups. She strongly focuses on innovation, product/market development, fundraising, strategic partnerships, project management, risk mitigation, ideas generation, and leading and driving change. In her spare time, Claire is currently undertaking a DBA on the factors that influence UK SMEs to commit to Net Zero.
