Barnet Legends - Reimagining Elderhood
The London Borough of Barnet Council has commissioned Create London to curate and produce significant public artworks throughout the borough celebrating Barnet’s Legends. These artworks will spotlight Barnet’s past inspirational figures, from un-sung heroes to those who have garnered global acclaim.
Join us at New Ground to celebrate the unveiling of one of these artworks to celebrate Shirley Meredeen, founding member of Growing Old Disgracefully, Hen Coop and Older Women’s Co Housing (OWCH). Following the unveiling there will be a screening of Reimagining Elderhood and the opportunity for a Q & A session, led by Patrick Devlin (Pollard Thomas Edwards) and Padraig Flynn. Patrick was lead architect on the design of New Ground and Padraic is a Dublin based architect and producer of the film.
