What do you mean by "karaoke" Shakespeare?

All the scenes are acted out by volunteers who have not seen the script! Just like you would volunteer to sing a song with the lyrics on a screen at a karaoke night, you'd volunteer for a role and perform with the script.

Do I have to volunteer?

Absolutely not! Here at Bard at the Bar, we know that no performance is complete without an audience. If you'd rather just watch, that is wonderful too.

What if I don't know anything about Shakespeare?

That is a-okay. These plays can be very intimidating, but the goal of Bard at the Bar is to make it fun and easy! Seasoned Shakespeareans and novice newcomers alike can enjoy together in a casual setting. No prior knowledge is necessary!
