About this event

Are you looking for an exciting adventure for your child with autism or ADHD? Look no further than Autism Friendly Forest Adventures at Parkhurst Forest in Newport. This event is perfect for children between the ages of 5 and 16 who love spending time in nature and exploring the great outdoors.


We have teamed up with Wood Learn Forest who have experienced guides that will lead your child on a fun-filled journey through the forest, where they will learn about the the forest, build shelters, learn safe knife use, have campfires and free play under the trees. Wood Learn Forest have designed this event specifically with children on the autism spectrum in mind, so you can rest assured that your child will feel comfortable and supported throughout the experience.


These events usually take place on the first Saturday of every month (dates below) but can be subject to change. The location will be alternated between Firestone Copse & Parkhurst Forest.


The sessions below will be located in Firestone Copse, Ryde, PO33 4LQ. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity for your child to connect with nature and make new friends!

Tickets are £12 (plus eventbrite fees total £13.52) per child and must be purchased via Eventbrite to be able to attend. There is no need to print your ticket we shall have a list of attendees when you arrive.


  • Siblings are welcome to join in too so feel free to buy them a ticket.
  • Non-diagnosed children are welcome to join
  • Adults or Carers must be present throughout the session and must supervise their children at all times
  • A ny additional needs must be disclosed to the Wood Learn Forest School team before arrival or on arrival
  • A forest school dog will be at each session. Please do not bring other dogs.
