August 2017 Friar's Bush Tour

Tour of Friar’s Bush Graveyard, Wed 23 Aug, 1.00pm – 2.00pm

Friar’s Bush Graveyard (Stranmillis Road) is thought to be Belfast’s oldest Christian burial ground, possibly dating back to pre-Christian times. It also contains the mass grave of hundreds of victims of Belfast’s cholera epidemics. Although burials no longer take place in the cemetery, it is a recognised historical site.

Please meet Belfast City Council Gardener at the Entrance of Friars Bush Graveyard (just after the museum) at 1.00 pm.
