This event is brought to you by a new group in Halton called The Philanthropists, this is part of their first project to raise funds for a mural to Jack Ashley. Jack Ashley, Baron of Stoke was a Widnes lad with an inspiring career in broadcasting and politics. After a routine operation for a perforated ear drum he became the first totally deaf MP in the House of Commons and was a tireless campaigner for Disability Rights.
