About this event

Adventure Choir: circlesinging and collaborative improv

Circlesinging is an ancient form of group musical singing - practiced all over the world - a place where everyone can take part, and everyone's contribution is valid. It's an opportunity to explore your voice in the company of others, and create beautiful vocal improvised music together - whatever your level of experience.

  • Learn to create harmonies and vocal loops
  • Develop your musicality
  • Create vocal pieces from scratch
  • Sing without a safety net...(in a lovely, supportive, safe environment)
  • No previous experience needed

We'll begin with some guided warm-ups, toning, and harmony singing, and follow by exploring our creativity, in a mistake -free zone, to build collective spontaneous musical landscapes. Come join us on a vocal adventure!

We'll be running monthly on the third Wednesday of every month - January will be a completely FREE taster session so you can try some musical risk-taking - risk free!

Facilitated by Dr. Jane Bentley - internationally recognised enabler of improvisation - who has trained with leading musicians Bobby Mc Ferrin, David Darling, and Arthur Hull in collaborative group musical creation.
