Dr Clarisse de Vries is a Lecturer in Data Science at the University of Glasgow's School of Health and Wellbeing. She leads research at the Glasgow Lab for Health Data Science & AI (GLABDA), focusing on developing and evaluating artificial intelligence tools for breast cancer screening. Dr De Vries has received the 2024 UK Advancing Healthcare Awards Rising Star Award for her contributions to AI in healthcare. Her work bridges academia, industry, and the NHS, aiming to ensure AI technologies are safe, effective, and accessible in clinical settings.
