The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), in force since late 2022, has spurred the European Commission to expedite the introduction of sector-agnostic European Sustainability Reporting Standards by July 2023.

This directive extends its influence to listed small and medium enterprises (LSMEs), obliging compliance through specified reporting requirements via Delegated Acts by 2025. EFRAG's draft mandatory standards for LSMEs in early 2024 and voluntary standards for non-listed SMEs (VSMEs) will intricately shape reporting expectations.

CSR Europe's EU Masterclass serves as a platform for policymakers, large companies, and SMEs to discuss their roles in shaping the European reporting landscape.

Discover the proactive potential of ESRS SMEs reporting within the CSRD, aiding enterprises of all sizes in better complying with CSRD and ESRS. This strategic approach fosters mutual support in sustainability transformation, particularly in accelerating the Just Transition (JT). Collaboration opportunities in Vocational Education and Training (VET) and workforce upskilling further enhance the potential impact. The Masterclass provides a forum for exploring these opportunities, encouraging collaborative discussions among stakeholders about their roles in shaping the European reporting landscape.
