'The Creative Pause', is a retreat that offers exactly that, a pause from the relentless pace of modern life. Amidst the picturesque backdrop of the Whinlatter Forest in the Lake District, the upcoming gathering of like-minded people invites you to step off the perpetual treadmill of busyness, indulge in moments of tranquility, relax with new friends and a little fun and laughter to allow a total recharge of your batteries.
Nestled amidst the serene landscapes of the Northern Lake District, this 3-day retreat, running from June 21st–24th, is a sanctuary for those seeking respite from the relentless hamster wheel of modern day living. Hosted by the hospitable duo, Paul and Jude, the Creative Pause promises you a harmonious blend of reflection and rejuvenation. Delve into mindfulness and meditation using art and craft techniques, invigorate your body with Pilates, Qigong and cold water dips and find your inner peace walking within the tranquil woodlands that envelop the gallery.
Savor delectable meals crafted with care, emphasising good food and comfort, accompanied by tasty snacks to keep you energised throughout the day. Paul and Jude both emphasise the importance of momentarily detaching from the chaos of daily existence: "In the midst of life's whirlwind, a pause offers you a place of solace and a chance to recalibrate and renew your energy.
Unlike traditional retreats fixated on predefined outcomes, The Creative Pause priorities the simple joy of being present. From an invigorating fresh water dip surrounded by the stunning fells of the Lake District, an evening of traditional singing bowls meditation with full power cacao to a fun filled evening of parlour games that spark more than a little laughter. Every moment is an opportunity to connect, unwind, and nurture your soul.
If you find yourself teetering on the brink of burnout, yearning for escape, The Creative Pause will welcome you with open arms. Take the first step towards tranquility and renewal.
